Ever since he made his return to the WWE on the Day 1 Edition of RAW, Jinder Mahal has been getting a ton of buzz. The former WWE Champion has recorded a massive push after his segment with Dwayne Johnson. After confronting Seth Rollins during the last episode of RAW, Mahal attained a title shot on this week’s episode.
However, that would not be all, as the SmackDown GM, Nick Aldis, had some select words for Mahal ahead of his match.

During the Day 1 Edition of RAW, no one expected Mahal to be the former WWE Champion who was set to make his return. Despite Dwayne Johnson coming out, Mahal was the one who got all the buzz. During the last episode of RAW, he had a tense promo with Seth Rollins.
During this promo, Mahal made it clear that he felt overlooked, which The Visionary used to humiliate him. The SmackDown GM used this word again on social media. However, he employed this tactic to convince Mahal to join SmackDown. Aldis said, “I agree with you Mr. Mahal, you have been overlooked…on Raw.”

It was made clear that Aldis and Adam Pearce had issues while CM Punk and Randy Orton were choosing which brand to side with. Aldis went on to say, “I’ll think you’ll find that #SmackDown is the land of opportunity, and I am always open to a conversation.” This made it clear that Aldis has done his part to entice the former WWE champion to make SmackDown his new home.

Could we see Mahal shifting gears and heading down to SmackDown? Only time will tell if that will happen. Currently, Mahal is the hottest name in wrestling since his return and feud with Seth Rollins.
How the WWE slowed down Jinder Mahal’s momentum
Despite all the buzz Mahal has been getting online, the WWE did not let him win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tonight on RAW. While fans were expecting some kind of title change, be it with Mahal winning or Damian Priest cashing in, nothing happened.

The WWE could have put Mahal over and had Rollins win back the title at the Royal Rumble. This would not hinder the plans of seeing CM Punk take on Rollins at WrestleMania 40.
