Is Jimmy Uso's absence a mistake, or is Jacob Fatu the fresh blood the Bloodline needs?

Jacob Fatu has been the talk of the town ever since his surprise WWE debut. Fans were expecting his appearance in the promotion after reportedly signing with the company during WrestleMania week. However, the creative team delayed his debut until the fans didn’t expect his appearance at all, revealing him at an unexpected moment. At that moment, Fatu showed his true colors to the audience.

His aura captivated the crowd but also left them fearing his character. According to one of the co-hosts on the Busted Open Podcast, the introduction of this gimmick was necessary for The Bloodline.

The Anoa’i wrestler has only been in WWE for slightly over a week and fans are already going crazy for him. While talking on the podcast, Jonathan Hood talked to his co-host about how Fatu was not only important from a story point of view, but his character was important to keep The Bloodline afloat. While talking about Fatu’s debut, Hood said during the episode, “This is no shot at the Usos, no shot at Sami Zayn or Roman Reigns. But it had to be different though, Justin. It could not be the happy-go-lucky Jey Uso or Jimmy Uso.

This could be the reason Jimmy Uso was kicked out of The Bloodline. The creative team wanted the stable to become more sadistic and serious rather than keeping a light-hearted tone to their segments and matches. With Jey Uso having already become a babyface, it wouldn’t take longer to see his twin brother potentially joining his side.

The new Bloodline member appears so powerful that Jimmy Uso didn’t dare interfere with him when he was expected to return to MSG last SmackDown. The debut that WWE had in store for The Samoan Werewolf didn’t only top their own segments but also triumphed over the debut of some top AEW stars.

Among Tony Khan’s recently signed stars are Mercedes Mone and Kazuchika Okada. Both stars were rumored to sign with WWE but ended up debuting in AEW. The motivating factor for their decision appears to be money. Talking about the same on his podcast, Jim Cornette voiced out how there is nothing wrong with Khan using his money to sign the stars and allure them into joining him instead of the competitor. However, Cornette thinks that he should use that money for talents that deserve it.

This is when he picked Jacob Fatu’s WWE debut over the other two mentioned stars. He thinks the Samoan wrestler is way better than the talents that Khan signed because he shook the entire fanbase with only a few minutes of screen time until now. And to add up, he probably did not have a contract as high-paying as the wrestlers that Tony Khan hires to entertain the fans over at AEW.
