The latest episode of ‘Jim Cornette’s Drive-Thru’ recently aired. Cornette dissected and opined on several topics related to wrestling. The WWE legend has a wide array of knowledge that pertains to the wrestling industry. Suffice to say that the wrestling community takes notice when Cornette gives his valuable opinion.

Shinsuke Nakamura happened to be a primary topic of interest. The reason why the former manager mentioned Nakamura was because of Nakamura’s most recent WWE promo. All of this happened because the Japanese wrestler featured at Backlash 2023 with The Miz.

In the promo, Nakamura was teaching The Miz how to say “I have tiny b*lls” in Japanese. It eventually ended up with Nakamura knocking The Miz out with a kick. But Cornette noticed an important detail during Nakamura’s dialogue delivery and detailed it on his podcast.

What did Cornette say about Roman Reigns’ former competitor?

Nakamura has engaged in different wrestling styles and promotions ever since he joined New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2002. However, in 2016, the wrestler officially announced that he was going to be a part of WWE and joined NXT shortly after. After a year of honing his skills and familiarizing himself with the company, WWE sent the Japanese wrestler to the main roster where he was still active. In 2019, Nakamura faced Roman Reigns in SmackDown, where he made him push past his limits in order to secure a win. Although Nakamura gave Reigns a tough fight, Cornette believes he still lacks an intimidation factor.

The WWE personality went on to say, “The Miz was in the ring with ‘Shaky’ Nakamura and they gave this about 10 minites. This is the first time I’ve heard Nakamura really speak. He sounds like a Japanese Truman Capote. There’s no intimidation factor in his voice at all.” He believes that if Nakamura reduces the ‘shakiness’ in his voice, he could ‘sound’ more intimidating.

This isn’t the first time that a WWE personality has criticized another. In fact, Roman Reigns recently received a blunt opinion from another co-star on the main roster.

Dominik Mysterio‘s clip had been going viral on Twitter, in which fans can catch him taking shots at Reigns. In the clip, Mysterio was sitting with his teammate Damian Priest. When the interviewer asks him who out of the entire roster won’t survive in prison, Mysterio answers with Reigns’ name. Despite not being credited well enough as a wrestler by fans, Mysterio believes that Reigns can’t achieve what he did.

Because of a kayfabe act, Mysterio was jokingly arrested. So, the wrestler mentioning that Reigns could never survive prison makes things a lot more hilarious. Is it possible that Cornette was talking about Nakamura just for fun? Unfortunately, this can only be answered correctly by the former WWE promoter. However, Nakamura’s reaction to this comment might stir things up in the WWE world in the near future.
