It has been a while since fans saw Jey Uso being a part of a storyline that is bigger than his ongoing stint on Monday Night Raw. He has turned a blind eye to The Bloodline 2.0, but it’s not working in his favor either. As of now, he is not involved in any storyline, but there seems to be an opportunity coming his way.

Talking about the upcoming PLE and Jey Uso’s involvement in WWE so far, Dave LaGreca mentioned how he could undergo a massive push after experiencing a lull.

Bron Breakker seems to be enjoying his time with the Intercontinental Championship. The wrestler feuded with Sami Zayn for a long time before finally winning the title at SummerSlam. Now, the Stamford-based company is trying to select the right opponent for him by holding the tournament finals soon. The younger Uso is set to face Pete Dunne, and if he wins, he will get to face Bron Breakker for the IC Championship. Keeping this in mind, LaGreca said on the Busted Open Podcast, “Let’s just say Jey Uso wins this tournament and he’s your new, you know, gets in a match with Bron Breakker and they have a feud. And then eventually is the intercontinental champion or maybe just to chase for that intercontinental championship.

Jey Uso has previously been a 10-time tag team champion. That’s why LaGreca thinks that he should get set up to go after the IC Championship if not win it right away. This is coming in the middle of the AEW rumors that his father outlined.

Rikishi’s voice may be working for Jey Uso

A few days ago, Rikishi sat down for a new episode of his podcast. In the middle of the conversation, the topic of his son and his lack of push came up. We are all aware of how little Jey Uso’s story has grown in the recent past. WWE hasn’t given him anything since WrestleMania XL. Without The Bloodline storyline, the wrestler has been pretty much empty-handed. The WWE Hall of Famer didn’t like it and decided to voice out his concern for the ‘Yeet Man’. He implied that he wasn’t talking about this just because Uso is his son, but would have brought it up for any other wrestler in his position.

According to the Anoa’i elder, Jey Uso has plenty of options to choose from if WWE doesn’t give him a storyline worthy of gaining fans’ interest. One of the names that he dropped was of AEW. Although Rikishi didn’t suggest that Jey Uso is actively looking to work elsewhere or that he has received some offers from the competing promotion, his words were enough to let the IWC work its magic into spreading the rumor like wildfire. And now that he is going to be participating in the final level of the tournament to go after Bron Breakker’s title, it may be working in his favor.
