Did Jey Uso's off-air actions show he's ready to finally break free from Roman Reigns' shadow?

Roman Reigns has made two attempts at claiming back the Ula Fala since his SummerSlam return and both have been unsuccessful. On SmackDown 08/16, the Original Tribal Chief had another face-off against his younger cousin at the end of the show to retrieve the Samoan necklace. While Reigns succeeded in his agenda, putting the garland back around his neck, he was attacked shortly after.

Jacob Fatu laid a beating on him, forcing him to give up the fight and lie face down in the middle of the ring as the rogue Bloodline stands tall. The reason why he was overpowered was because he was outnumbered. However, one thing that wasn’t shown on TV was Jey Uso’s presence at the venue!

Despite praising Reigns more than once, the two did not part ways on good terms. Following the betrayal by his twin, Jey left SmackDown for good and re-established himself on Monday Night Raw. However, things took a turn yet again as the younger Uso finally returned to the blue brand on the 16th.

Jey Uso was there for a dark match which is held after the weekly shows to give fans something extra to enjoy. Shortly after Reigns’ beatdown, Uso came out in the arena for his own match. His enthusiasm seems like a mockery since he didn’t come out to help his cousin earlier!

Since he was already there for his dark match against Judgment Day, Jey Uso could have come out to save his older cousin, but he didn’t. The reason you ask? Well, it could be because he might still be upset about what went down between him and his family.

What’s your perspective on:

Did Jey Uso's off-air actions show he's ready to finally break free from Roman Reigns' shadow?

Have an interesting take?

Will the original Bloodline ever come together again? Now that is something would have to wait and see.

Will Roman Reigns march on or retreat?

The former Head of the Table isn’t the kind of person to retreat from a fight. Instead, he sees it through, even if he is losing. Now that the stakes have been raised, thanks to the Ula Fala on the line, Roman Reigns might have to drag himself even further without stopping. However, one thing is clear: he is outnumbered and needs some friends to support him in his quest to take back the throne. Several weeks ago, there were reports of Hikuleo signing with the company. Since his siblings are already part of The Bloodline 2.0, he may also join them soon, or maybe help Roman Reigns out.

It would make sense for WWE to go with the latter path in the storyline since Reigns is already outnumbered. After this debut, we might also see The Usos reuniting. When the time comes, the fans are sure that Jey Uso won’t turn his back on his family members despite what went down between them. Instead, we will see him standing up for them. However, if he doesn’t wish to return to them, which will be understandable, WWE would need to find a new ally for the OTC to complete his quest.
