Is Bron Breakker right about the Bloodline's inferiority, or is Jey Uso proving him wrong?

Tonight, on Monday Night RAW, a tournament has begun that will determine Bron Breakker’s next challenger for the Intercontinental Championship. This tournament consists of four ‘Triple Threats’, and the winners of those matches will face off in a ‘Fatal 4-Way’ on the September 9 episode of RAW in what will be the final round.

The first two ‘Triple Threats’ took place on RAW tonight. First, Jey Uso managed to beat Karrion Kross and Kofi Kingston with a splash on Kross. Subsequently, in an extremely competitive match, Pete Dunne managed to take advantage of his moment to apply his finish to The Miz immediately after Xavier Woods did it to take the match.

The Main Event has now issued a warning to Bron Breakker in a backstage interview on RAW after Breakker’s recent comments that made the fight really close to home for the former tag team champion. Breakker called out Uso and made things personal by mentioning the family of Main Event, as he said, “You better watch your mouth, Jey, because there’s never been a member of your family to beat up a member of mine.”

As a result, Jey Uso surely had some intense words of his own to share with the Intercontinental Champion.

The Main Event said, “Man, I’m feeling good. I went there, and I did what I said and said what I said, and said what I did. I went out there and got the W. I told Bron [Breakker] what time it was. If he want to talk about family, that’s cool. Talk about watch my mouth. Hey, Bron, my daddy been whooping your daddy’s a*s since we were kids, okay. But check it out though, Uce. Ain’t gonna be no family. When it’s go time, it’s one-on-one. When it’s go time, it’s me and you, Uce. But when it’s go time, I’m gonna be the new Intercontinental Champion.”

Have an interesting take?

It is worth noting that what Jey Uso is saying here is actually true. Rikishi did defeat Breakker’s father, although it was in the very later years of their lives, as it took place during a special event at a Memphis Grizzlies game on March 24, 2019. Rikishi teamed up with Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler to defeat the Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) for the Grind City Tag Team Championships.

Now, Jey Uso and Pete Dunne become the first two fighters to qualify for the final of the tournament, while the remaining two will be determined next week with two more three-way matches. Sheamus, Bronson Reed, and Ludwig Kaiser will face each other, while the second match includes Ilja Dragunov, Dragon Lee, and Dominik Mysterio. So, what do you think? Who will be the number one contender to face Breakker? Let us know in the comments.
