Rhea Ripley has been in one of the most multifarious narratives since her comeback from injury. On one hand, she wants to reclaim the Women’s World Championship, which she has never lost, while on the other, she is involved in a complex romance subplot with Jey Uso and Dominik Mysterio. The narrative has the potential to lead anywhere, and fans have so far enjoyed it, but others are concerned about the wrestlers’ personal lives.

WWE icon Rikishi also addressed this issue on his YouTube channel, Rikishi Fatu Off The Top. There, he highlighted how WWE made such a bad move by making this storyline. He stated that since they had no intentions for Jey Uso to appear at SummerSlam they planned this new way of involving him. As you are aware, Jey Uso is a tremendous draw right now, and his absence from one of the most important events would be inconvenient for the promotion.

Rikishi does not like this notion since he believes it was unexpected and came out of nowhere. He further contemplates whether this storyline will have a negative impact on the wrestlers’ real marital lives. Not only that, but Rikishi does not want both wrestlers to kiss one other on screen, even if a romance plot develops between them after SummerSlam.

The WWE Legend stated, “I’ll tell you one thing, man, I got, you know, hairs on the back of my neck every time I watch it and, you know, not, okay, SummerSlam. Where is he? Ah, let’s go. I don’t know. Let’s write him in that he likes Mami. Mami? That’s the best that those, you know, writers got. Let’s write this guy into a relationship with Mami. What y’all trying to do? Break his marriage up? Y’all can’t put them in a good storyline.”

Rhea Ripley and Jey Uso might make sense, but not romantically

If you look at this narrative correctly, there is a potential that both of these wrestlers will end up as a couple. The reason for this is that if Dominik Mysterio betrays Rhea Ripley in the future, the greatest thing Mami can do right now is to find someone to ensure her safety. Jey Uso can be that person, and if necessary, he can also face Mysterio.

This makes sense only if Ripley loses at SummerSlam due to Dominik Mysterio’s intervention, which would be fascinating to watch whether or not that occurs.
