On a night filled with intense action on SmackDown, it was Jey Uso who made the biggest impact. Uso, who has been on a roll, once again proved why he is ready for a main event run by standing tall over his cousin, the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns to close the show.

While he did that, he added salt to the wound by using Reigns’ own finisher, the spear, on him to make an emphatic statement. 

Jey Uso gets one up on Roman Reigns

For the past 3 years, the bloodline has ruled the roost in WWE. Their storyline produces the maximum traction. But since the implosion of the bloodline, Jey Uso has grabbed the most eyeballs.

Now, on the latest edition of SmackDown, Uso sent out a powerful message by standing tall over the head of the table, gaining significant momentum just a week before their showdown.

In a video posted by WWE, you can clearly see how Solo Sikoa follows Reign’s orders to attack Jey, while the champion sat on the throne.

However, the former tag team champion avoided the Samoan spike and nailed Sikoa with a super kick. An opportunistic Reigns tried to capitalize by hitting Jey with a cheap shot, but in the biggest surprise of the night, Uso countered the attack by using the patent spear.

As a stunned Heyman looked at the fallen world champion, the crowd became thunderous at the sight of Uso getting one up on the champ. However, this was only the cherry on top as Jey Uso and his version of the spear received even bigger applause on social media. 

“Jey the showstopper” rings through fans 

With him laying out both Sikoa and Reigns post the match, this has become one of the most dominant performances by a superstar in recent times. Fans were quick to recognize that and poured in with their positive appreciation.
