Losing someone is a scary ordeal for one person, but when a community loses a great icon, it shatters them for a long time. In the wrestling industry, we have lost many great legends over the years. But it is harder every time. That is why seeing a legend suffer through surgeries and health scares is scary for everyone. But luckily, Jerry Lawler made it through.

Just a few days ago, the news came that Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler suffered a second heart stroke. He was immediately taken to the hospital, but no further update had come, until now.

Through his Twitter, the legend sent a positive message, saying that he was recovering and healing from the surgery. It was scarier for the community as Lawler once had a similar stroke on live TV 11 years ago. That was when Lawler was commentating alongside Cole on an episode of Monday Night Raw. It was a nightmare, and everyone hoped that it wouldn’t turn into one this time around as well. Luckily, everything is alright.

A great wrestler and an even greater commentator, Lawler has seen it all. That is why The King has always promoted the newer stars in the business. There are many wrestlers who have had advice from Lawler and went on to become major stars in different companies and even WWE. Many wrestlers wouldn’t even had their start in the business if not for Lawler and his keen eye for talent.

His contribution to the company and this business has been unique, and it would truly be a sad day when we lose this precious legend. But it looks like, that will not be happening any time soon.
