Jeff Hardy Puts His WWE Career on the Line Against Cedric Alexander on RAW

Tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw took an unexpected turn during an unsanctioned match between Jeff Hardy and Cedric Alexander. ‘The Charismatic Enigma’ declared that if Alexander could defeat him then and there, he would retire from wrestling for good.

On June 14, 2021 episode of RAW, Cedric Alexander confronted Jeff Hardy after his match against John Morrison. As the match continued, Alexander made his way into the area. This might have put Hardy a little off as Morrison pinned him for the win after delivering his finisher, the Starship Pain.

After the match concluded, Cedric announced he was sorry for not showing Hardy the respect he deserved last week on RAW. But Alexander announced that when he went back and watched the match, he realized Hardy was just a sore winner. Adding fuel to the fire, Alexander declared he is apologizing for not sending Hardy into a retirement home.

The Charismatic Enigma would not take this disrespect and said he would retire if Alexander could beat him in an immediate match; to which Cedric agreed. Talk about putting money where your mouth is.

After working a match against Morrison, Hardy was bound to be tired. This showed during the match as Alexander got the upper hand at the start and went hard at Hardy’s left knee. Alexander was in control for most of the match, but the tide quickly changed when Hardy hit him ‘The Twist of Fate’. He then followed it up with a Swanton from the top rope and secured the win.

Rest assured, the fans won’t be seeing their favorite wrestler retiring anytime soon. The match showed the world that there is a lot left in ‘The Charismatic Enigma’.

WWE disappointed fans

Although the fans are happy Jeff Hardy will continue to be a part of WWE, they are unhappy about how the match went down. With RAW’s repetitive storylines and matches, this was a breath of fresh air. The fans are arguing that the match could have had a better build or a storyline of its own. But rather, WWE chose to let it happen on a random episode of RAW.
