It’s not new in the WWE world to resemble former superstars to some extent. But nothing can come close to what Chad Gable shares with Kurt Angle. Gable has been successful in great strides in WWE, but it seems like he can never get out of the comparison with Kurt Angle. The WWE Hall of Famer was the ideal archetype for him from a very young age. Later, during his WWE run, he got the chance to work alongside his childhood hero.

Gable earned considerable success as a part of American Alpha alongside Jason Jordan. They both had similar backgrounds in amateur wrestling and developed amazing in-ring chemistry together. However, on the July 17, 2017, edition of Raw, WWE pitched Jason Jordan as Angle’s on-screen son. But it seems like WWE fans are still not sold on the idea of portraying Jason as Angle’s son instead of Chad. At least, the Olympic hero’s latest Instagram post says so.

Fans intervene in Kurt Angle’s post appreciating his real-life son for his graduation

WWE legend Kurt Angle has not only played a father on screen, but in real life, but he has been carrying out a father’s duty with grace over the years. His adopted son Joseph achieved an academic milestone in the form of attaining a graduation degree and Angle couldn’t be more proud as a dad.

The 54-year-old posted a heartwarming picture with his son on Instagram during his graduation ceremony. The Hall Of Famer wrote in the caption, ”So proud of my son Joseph graduating from High School. He had an amazing senior year in wrestling too. 2 down… 4 to go! Lol. #prouddad”

While the post garnered tons of congratulatory messages in seconds, some fans find his son resembling Chad Gable in the picture. They dragged a scrapped idea of WWE in the comments to point out a big mistake of not making Chad Angle’s on-screen son. They shot some wild comments like, ‘‘Why that looks like Chad Gable 😂,’ ‘Thought it was Chad Gable for a sec😂, ‘ ‘chad gable is 18? Wild’, ‘ That’s gotta be Chad Gable…’, etc.

Some of them even termed WWE stupid for snubbing Gable in Angle’s illegitimate son’s storyline. They go like, ‘So both members of American Alpha are Kurt Angle’s son 😂, ‘Literally so dumb they went Jason Jordan instead of Chad Gable for Kurt Angle’s “son” I mean just look at the resemblance. 😆’

Some of them also compared Joseph with Jordon as they wrote, ”Wait, that’s not Jason Jordan’‘, ”Where’s Jason Jordan? Lol. Jk. Congrats!”, etc.

However, apart from the fans, it seems like some WWE insiders also couldn’t get over Chad’s unbelievable similarity to the former Hall of Famer.

Bill Apter wants WWE to make Chad Gable the modem day Kurt Angle

Despite drawing wide comparisons to the Olympic Gold Medalist, WWE didn’t push Gable to the level of Angle. The former Raw tag team champion was confined to working in tag team matches with Otis.

Wrestling legend Bill Apter thinks WWE needs to consider taking him to the next level as he has immense potential to be the modern-day Kurt Angle. He wants the company to bring him to the red brand and give a massive push to turn him into a big star. During a recent interview, Apter noted, “They need to turn Gable into the modern-day Kurt Angle. He’s got that; he’s really got it, and they need to find an opponent with him to help him grow into a modern Kurt Angle.”

Now, we need to see if WWE really gives him the break or not. But in either case, fans will vividly remember him as Angles’ unpitched ‘Illegitimate son’.
