If there’s one family that can boast of having dominated the WWE rings through time, it’s the Anoa’I dynasty. From The Rock being arguably the most popular to come out of the dynasty to Roman Reigns, who has reached the highest echelons of pro wrestling through the sports entertainment company. The Tribal Chief has already earned a place as one of the biggest superstars to ever grace the squared circle.
And now the latest descendants of the Anoa’i are making their mark with Bloodline 2.0. Solo Sikoa, the Tribal Heir, is wreaking havoc on the WWE roster with his brothers Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and the new addition, Jacob Fatu. Fatu made an explosive debut in the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown and has surely instilled fear into the hearts of the WWE roster.
And with Johnson possibly being the Tribal Chief of The Bloodline 2.0, the sky is the limit for the faction. However, unlike his other brothers, it seems like he isn’t that close to the new Tribal Chief. In an interview, he kept Johnson as a distant cousin while describing the Anoa’i family tree.

In a recent podcast clip uploaded by the @attituderapodcast on Instagram, Jaco Fatu can be seen describing the entire Anoa’i family and how everyone is related to each other. But when he was describing everyone, he forgot to mention the Rock as reminded by the interviewer. And that’s when Jacob Fatu went on to reveal that The Rock’s just a distant cousin and not directly related to everyone else that he mentioned.

“So Rock, his grandfather High Chief Peter Mavia, I think it’s really he on other side of the family. I think his family is like a distant cousin. You know what I’m saying. I actually think it’s through his mom not through his grandfather. I think we’re related on her side through my grandmother. But he’s not I wouldn’t say a part of the family, but he’s a part of that family. If that makes sense, it’s crazy cause there’s so many of us bro,” Fatu said. Born in April 1937 on the island of Samoa, Peter Maivia is considered, along with The Rock, an honorary member of the lineage and the first Grand Chief of the dynasty that today is led by Solo Sikoa in WWE. He is practically the first Tribal Chief and the architect of the most popular family in wrestling. Now it will be interesting to see if the Rock brings this up whenever he returns to the WWE.

Possibly making Fatu defect to the Bloodline run by Roman Reigns as he tries to reclaim the throne as the Tribal Chief. The matchup between Johnson and Reigns was originally slated to be in WrestleMania 40. However, WWE’s creative team thought that stretching the story beyond the 40th edition of the glorious event would have damaged the eventual victory of Cody Rhodes, whom they profiled as the man who would carry the company on his shoulders for the future.
The viral campaign #WeWantCody was a final push to convince both parties to move forward with the idea of The American Nightmare lifting the title at WrestleMania. What do you think? Will we get to see the two square off at WrestleMania 41 now? What do you make of Fatu’s explanation of Dwayne Johnson’s lineage? Let us know in the comments.
