Jacob Fatu, also known as “The Samoan Werewolf,” debuted in WWE on June 21, 2024, during an episode of SmackDown. Since then, he has been a dominant force. Being part of the group The Bloodline alongside Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Solo Sikoa. Before he arrived at WWE, Fatu had a successful career in other promotions. He was a champion in Major League Wrestling (MLW) and other organizations such as All Pro Wrestling and DEFY Wrestling.

Since joining the Bloodline, he has proved his high reputation by being the enforcer of the new Tribal Chief Solo Sikoa. Through his brute strength and astounding athleticism, he has singled-handedly taken down Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, and Cody Rhodes. However, it seems like his recent attack on Rhodes during SummerSlam might’ve backfired on the new WWE superstar. During the WWE SummerSlam main event held on August 3, 2024, The Samoan Werewolf stunned the Cleveland crowd after hitting his favorite “splash” from the third rope on The American Nightmare.

But while he was reportedly supposed to sell a leg injury after the move, apparently the situation got a little out of hand. At the end of the fight, Fatu was helped by a referee to walk out of the arena. And now, he was seen wearing an orthopedic boot in an Instagram story from the HaroonTwins. The injury was further confirmed when a fan clicked a picture of him in a convenience store wearing walking boots to help him walk. So will Fatu be out of programming for a long time now? Well, Bully Ray has provided the answer to how severe the injury might be.

On the latest edition of the Busted Open Podcast, he said, “I don’t know if you saw it, but there was a picture out there of Jacob Fatu, maybe at a convenience store that a fan took with him, where he was in a walking boot. So if you’re in a walking boot, that means you need, you know, not the worst thing in the world because you’re not in a cast, but you’re definitely, there’s something going on. I wore a walking boot for a while. I know what it’s like. There’s something going on there where he can’t put pressure on his knee, his leg, his foot, whatever. Yeah, it sucks.”

Well, it looks like Fatu will be out for a while. This surely spells doom for Solo Sikoa, who just faced the wrath of the Original Tribal Chief Roman Reigns as the Big Dog delivered a Superman punch and spear to cost Sikoa the match against Cody Rhodes. Now, Sikoa will need protection again as Reigns is booked to appear on the upcoming edition of SmackDown.
