Jacob Fatu surprised the audience in Chicago when he showed up at Friday Night SmackDown without any prior announcements. There were speculations that he may not be joining The Bloodline ultimately, instead helping Roman Reigns take back the stable if he is kicked out. However, Fatu’s re-introduction to the promotion showed an all-new version of him.
The 32-year-old had a brief run in the Stamford-based company several years ago, but now he has returned as an entirely different character. The act that we saw him put up tonight does not seem so different from what he will be portraying in the future, as per WWE.

The Bloodline has already been ruthless for the past several weeks, ever since Roman Reigns has left on a hiatus. However, they don’t seem to be stopping there. Jacob Fatu was introduced to the crowd on the 21st of June in Chicago during the blue brand show.
He was announced by his current name, without any changes. But he was also called the “Werewolf” by one of the commentators upon his surprise return. This was confirmed a few seconds later when he stopped attacking everyone in the ring to show a vicious wolf printed on the tank top that he was wearing. And WWE has seemingly confirmed this using the new merch.

The leading wrestling promotion is marketing the new Jacob Fatu merchandise in the shop and the available design includes the same vicious wolf on the T-shirts that were seen on Fatu’s top on SmackDown. Since he has already been called “The Werewolf”, we may see WWE going ahead with the same now that the merchandise includes the same gimmick. Although there may not be supernatural forces involved in this storyline, we could still see a lot of chaos stirring up because of Fatu.
Where will Jacob Fatu’s character draw a line?
The character that he has debuted within the promotion, it is hard to say that Jacob Fatu will have any conscience to come out of the heel influence and do good with the rest of his exiled brothers. There were speculations that he could team up with The Tribal Chief and take back control of The Bloodline if Reigns were to get kicked out of his own family faction by his cousins.

The Usos were also supposed to get involved in the same storyline and take back the stable that was originally theirs. Although it is still possible to build this storyline partially, Jacob Fatu’s role would probably be missing because of how barbaric his character appears to be. The Werewolf probably wouldn’t have a change of heart for a long time.
Do you think WWE will continue with The Werewolf gimmick in the future?
