After several months of rumors and reports, Jacob Fatu finally made his WWE debut. This debut came in the main event of SmackDown, where The Samoan Werewolf saved Solo Sikoa from Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens as he single-handedly destroyed the three of his opponents. Fatu’s imposing aura imbued a lot of personality and ruthlessness. Even his fellow members from the Bloodline, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, looked scared after seeing Fatu’s explosive power. But why were they scared?
Well, Jim Cornette’s official podcast might have revealed what could be the reason behind the scared expressions. And it stems from Jacob Fatu’s past troubles with the law.
In the latest edition of the Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette discussed the addition of Jacob Fatu to the Bloodline and what it means for the WWE. During this conversation, the noted WWE pundit revealed the tensed looks on the faces of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa on Fatu’s debut. He reasoned it was because they knew that Fatu was a dangerous man with a record. And having him anywhere near the WWE is truly a dangerous move.

Cornette’s co-host said, “And the Tongans, the moment at the end where they walked up, and Solo and Jacob are at the front and they all do the one finger. The Tongans almost looked like worried or yes, they were looking at him sideways like.” Cornette agreed with the notion as he said, “Oh, sh*t, this f**king guy showed up now. We might be in trouble.” His co-host continued, “And if they really wanted to like, you know, build it up; just make it real. This guy has a record. This guy’s dangerous. WWE was scared to go near him. What is he doing here?”
But how exactly did Jacob Fatu get himself in trouble with the authorities?
Jacob Fatu found himself on the wrong side of the law at 18
The new WWE superstar faced legal trouble before entering the world of wrestling. At age 18, Fatu was arrested for armed robbery, which led to an undisclosed jail term. Although the WWE normally frowns on felonies, there have been some notable exceptions, such as MVP and Booker T, who the Stamford-based promotion had hired despite their legal troubles.

In fact, through his podcast called ‘Hall of Fame’, Booker T has spoken and analyzed Jacob Fatu’s debut, where he praised him, stating that The Samoan Werewolf is in the right place at the right time. “He looked real good. He’s dropped a lot of weight. He looked like he was in the best shape he’s ever been in. I’m glad to see Jacob finally make his debut in the WWE, on the main roster, which I thought was a great move as well because this guy has been out there on that scene grinding and grinding for quite some time.”
Undoubtedly, Jacob Fatu has earned his flowers because of his immense talent. His peers from other companies and his fans on social networks had regurgitated the same point to the pro wrestling community. The WWE Universe will be very attentive to see how ‘The Werewolf’ develops in WWE.
