Jacob Fatu finally debuted in WWE after fans waited for his arrival for a long time. He reportedly signed with the promotion in April 2024, but the viewers only witnessed his debut on SmackDown 06/21. Fatu showed up wilder and more aggressive than fans would have expected him to be.

After his electrifying debut, the new Bloodline member will have an acknowledgment ceremony. This will mark Jacob Fatu’s official introduction to the Anoa’i family stable in WWE. However, the promotional poster for the same was not quite up to the mark as one would expect.

WWE officially announced the acknowledgment ceremony that is going to take place on the upcoming Friday Night SmackDown at the historic Madison Square Garden on 06/28. Considering how high-profile the event is probably going to be, one would expect the promotion to keep everything polished for the same. However, it seems like things aren’t completely ready yet.

On Monday Night Raw 06/24, a promo played out for Jacob Fatu’s acknowledgment ceremony that will take place in MSG coming Friday night. The poster that was shown on TV and posted on social media showed a potentially unpolished job from WWE’s end. Jacob Fatu appeared to be poorly photoshopped onto a body that was already wearing a suit.

This is a speculation as the lighting felt off and Fatu’s head did not fit well on the body that it was supposedly photoshopped on. Tonga Loa, who was standing at a two-person distance from the new member, seemed to be in the exact same suit with a similar build and hand gestures.

So, it could be that Jacob Fatu did not have the available time to get a new photoshoot done, forcing the Stamford-based company to use this tactic instead. All of this could have been done way before if Fatu’s debut hadn’t been delayed.

Why didn’t Jacob Fatu debut before?

As discussed before, the 32-year-old reportedly signed with WWE back in April. If that is true, the promotion took a long time before revealing him in front of the fanbase. He could have appeared in WWE even at the beginning of his career. However, we didn’t see this happening in the beginning, and a WWE legend believes that there is a reason for the same. Talking about his return on the Busted Open Podcast, Mark Henry claimed that Fatu wasn’t ready and lacked the required skills sometime back.

According to the WWE Hall of Famer, the Anoa’i family member may not have been so electrifying with his performances, had the promotion given him such an excellent opportunity at the beginning of his career run or even half a decade ago. Growth and experience were important in making Jacob Fatu the wrestling talent that he is today. This is what seemingly gives him an edge over other Samoan wrestlers who could have joined The Bloodline in his place.
