Bloodline unleashed havoc on Roman Reigns’ special counsel tonight. The tension between Solo Sikoa and The Wiseman has noticeably been high ever since the former Right Hand Man jumped on to grasp the Tribal Chief status post-WrestleMania. He completely ignored Paul Heyman while wiping Jimmy Uso out of the faction alongside Tama Tonga in a banger SmackDown episode. Finally, it culminated in a full-blown betrayal on SmackDown 28/06, with Sikoa and his team turning on the veteran Hall of Famer when he refused to accept Sikoa as the new boss.

Notably, the latest militant force in the family, Jacob Fatu’s ending move on the 58-year-old, added a new layer of intensity to the flabbergasting segment.

As Roman Reigns went on a hiatus following the title loss, WWE ensured that the bloodline storyline didn’t lose in the shuffles by inflicting several twists. As the plan led through, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and Jacob Fatu cropped up back to back to carry the division forward under Sikoa’s wise stewardship.

WWE, however, kept Heyman’s status hanging in the air until tonight when Sikoa confessed that he lied to Heyman that Fatu wasn’t in the arena as he was too menacing for the group. In reality, the Samoan Werewolf was at the arena during the ceremony, watching the drama playing out secretly. Sikoa then received acknowledgment as the new Tribal Chief from all the members except Heyman.

In a shell-shocking aftereffect, Fatu hit a top rope splash to Heyman in the ring before all four men put him through the ringside announce table. Heyman was stretchered out of the arena post the show.

Moving ahead, let’s see why no one backed The Wiseman up when the trouble swirled in.

Why did WWE deprive Paul Heyman of all the support?

One major potential reason for WWE letting the Hall of Famer deal alone with the vicious beatdown might be that it will align with the ferocious Bloodline evolution. This was pretty clear that Heyman wouldn’t accept Sikoa as The Tribal Chief and the MSG crowd massively rallied behind him. It certainly helps in generating more fire against the updated heel faction, hence cranking up the storyline even more.

It planted the seed for Reigns’ comeback as a babyface, setting it like Reigns needs to interfere as he can be the only savior of Heyman. Moreover, it can be another subtle way of writing The Wiseman off from the TV for a while as an ultimate culmination of his misfit in the new group.
