Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer reported that Jay Briscoe was involved in a fatal car accident near Laurel, Delaware. It is further reported that there were two fatalities, including Jay in the accident. After AEW president Tony Khan shared this news on Twitter, the wrestling fraternity from around the globe came together to pay tribute to the 13-time ROH Tag Team Champion.
Jay and his brother formed the tag team The Briscoe Brothers and were one of the most decorated teams in pro wrestling. ROH also inducted them into their inaugural Hall of Fame in 2022. After Jay’s tragic demise, many names from the pro wrestling world paid their tributes to him.
