Be it sports or entertainment, fans often remember the protagonist for their certain standout moments. For example, MLB great Cal Ripken Jr’s streak of 2,632 consecutive games still stands today, 22 years after his retirement. When it comes to pro wrestling, there are some streaks that have stood the test of time. Bruno Sammartino’s title reign of 2803 days or close to eight years is one of the most impressive. Another streak that had many throwing their hats into the ring was The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak.

While Taker’s streak was finally broken, no other wrestler has won 21 consecutive matches at ‘The Showcase of the Immortals’. Despite possessing such an envious record, the WWE Hall of Famer has opened up about a regret during a recent interview.

Mark Calaway, who is popularly known as The Undertaker, sat for an exclusive chat with the British media outlet, The Independent, where he discussed his life after wrestling. Taker retired in November 2020 and has since found a new avenue to channel himself. However, The Phenom recently realized one of his regrets.

The 58-year-old was one of the thousands of spectators to attend WrestleMania 39 at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. He said while watching the matches; he felt like being inside the ring. “At WrestleMania 39, I was there and I had my family and friends up in a suite watching the show and I kind of found myself rocking in my chair like, ‘oh, my gosh, I should be down there’,” The Undertaker said.

He added that the excitement of being a part of the matches was ingrained in his brain. “So in those instances, it’s there. It’s still in my heart and it’s in my brain,” one of pro wrestling’s most beloved superstars said.

WWE recorded its most successful WrestleMania this year, with a reported revenue of $21.6 million in two days. The Deadman’s last WrestleMania appearance was in a ‘Boneyard Match’ with AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36, which he won.

Reigns received heavy praise from his senior colleague, who appreciated the current champion’s growth. Despite losing to The Tribal Chief at WrestleMania 33, which was his second loss at the marquee event, Taker said Reigns wasn’t as prolific as he is now.
