Whenever a wrestler gets his main roster call-up from NXT, it’s like a dream come true for them. That means the wrestler has done everything in NXT and is ready to lock horns with superstars of Raw or SmackDown. The same moment happened with Damian Priest earlier this year when he received his main roster call-up.

In a recent interview, Damian Preist talked about the time when he was making his big switch from NXT to Monday Night Raw and he said that it almost felt like moving to a “different school”.

Priest started to shine when he appeared in the 2021 Royal Rumble match as a surprise entrant, entering at #14, and eliminated three wrestlers before getting eliminated by Bobby Lashley.

“You know this is a different feel. It’s crazy, we’re reaching so many more people. The fact that now Damien Priest is known all over the world is crazy. That was the main part, getting my nerves under control and changing my mindset because it is a different system, so to speak, like transitioning to a new school.”

“I had to get used to that. Now that I’ve been here a few months, I feel more comfortable and know how this works.” Damian said. (H/T: Fightful)
