Since his return during the Day 1 edition of RAW, Jindal Mahal has received a massive push. Not only did he get a segment with Dwayne Johnson, but he also got a title shot during the last episode. On the upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW, Mahal will be facing Rollins for his WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Last time, Rollins defended his title against Drew McIntyre with Priest attempting a cash-in. McIntyre thwarted the plans and lost the match. The same took place at WWE Survivor Series WarGames and Crown Jewel. Priest has been stopped from cashing in on every single attempt.

However, reports by BWE now indicate that Rollins might have to fend off another cash-in attempt. According to the reports, “Damian Priest is “close” to cashing in his MITB.” This coming up ahead of the episode where the champion defends his title is concerning news for The Architect. It also mentioned that “extra pyro” is being set up for the event.

Furthermore, Rollins is already in a feud with CM Punk, who wants the title as well. There are currently three stars who have their eyes set on the title: Mahal, Punk, and McIntyre. Priest also holds an interest in gaining the title as he aims to make good on his MITB briefcase . But with a potential blockbuster program against CM Punk waiting, why would the WWE take off the title from Rollins’ waist?

Why Rollins could drop the title?

While fans would love to see a Punk vs. Rollins showdown for the title, rumors suggest that his reign could end soon. Rollins has been the World Heavyweight Champion for 232 days since May 27, 2023. While fans love him as the champion, they are getting tired of seeing him win every title defense.

This is a stark contrast to Roman Reigns, who has held the WWE Universal Championship for over three years. This has led fans to believe 2024 will see new champions crowned at the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania 40. What do you think about Priest cashing in his briefcase soon?
