WWE SmackDown is promising to be an exciting night this coming Friday. Why? Well, the ‘Rated-R Superstar’ Edge will wrestle his first match on SmackDown in over a decade! Edge will battle Jey Uso this Friday, and we know already know the stakes are high. Despite all the animosity, Jey Uso still has a soft side as he (kind of) broke character on Twitter.
Jey Uso breaks character to comment on match versus Edge on SmackDown
Last week’s contract signing between Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns ended in complete chaos, with D-Bry standing tall. Just before the brawl broke out, WWE Official Adam Pearce made it official that Edge will face Jey Uso next week, and the winner will become the special enforcer at Fastlane.

Earlier this week, WWE Hall of Famer Edge commented on his upcoming match on SmackDown in 11 years. And now, his opponent, ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso, has also chimed in his thoughts.
Uso retweeted Edge’s tweet and wrote that it honors him to wrestle Edge this coming Friday. But he also said that he’ll show the ‘Rated-R Superstar‘ why he’s Roman Reigns’ ‘Right-Hand Man.’
Its an absolute honor to be a part of this match. This Friday, I show you why I’m Right Hand Man to The Head of the Table. #MainEventJeyUso https://t.co/N7Nfoku2XT

As we’ve mentioned before, Edge’s last one-on-one match on SmackDown was against Drew McIntyre, a young promising talent, climbing the top of the WWE ladder. Now, a decade later, he’ll face Jey Uso, another promising young talent, who has miraculously made himself a legitimate singles superstar.
Who will become the Special Enforcer at WWE Fastlane?
Although it’s a no-brainer that Edge is the favorite to win against ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso on SmackDown, the stipulation makes us doubt a little. Let us explain. Roman Reigns would not want Edge to become the special enforcer for his match. He knows Jey Uso can easily succumb to the ‘Ultimate Opportunist.’

The only way Roman can ensure Jey becomes the special enforcer is by attacking him. An attack on Uso would mean he wins by DQ, and the odds go drastically higher for Reigns against Bryan at Fastlane.

This is a long shot, honestly. WWE would definitely give the win to Edge. After all, they wouldn’t want the Royal Rumble winner to take any kind of losses ahead of his big main event championship match at WrestleMania.
