“It’s All Just So Surreal”: 38-Year-Old WWE Star Shares His Experience of Working With John Cena and How It Impacts His Personal Life

The most highlighting fight of the last WWE SmackDown for this year has to be the tag team match championship match. For this battle, fans will witness an exciting pairing up of wrestlers, which includes Kevin Owens and his son’s favorite, John Cena in one team.

During a conversation with his friend Babroack and former colleague Mojo on TMZ Sports, Owens shared the moment he felt surreal. His journey in the roster started with The Face of the WWE and, both for him and his son, the last fight of the year will be a full-circle moment.

As he said, “I started with John when I came to WWE, and now he’s going to be my partner against Sami.” While stating this fact, Owens also emphasized his and Sami Zayn’s history in WWE.

After which he continued, “I started with John when I came to WWE, and now he’s going to be my partner against Sami.” 

Impact of Cena’s decision on Owens’ personal life

His statements reflected a lot about his admiration of Cena. However, he wasn’t the only admirer of the 16-time World Champion. Owens’ son is one big fan of Cena and is more excited than anyone else for the upcoming match. 

The Prizefighter then said, “Me and my son will always have a little bond over John Cena. My son, as he was growing up, was a huge John Cena fan. When I signed my WWE contract, I told my son, ‘maybe I’ll get to fight John Cena one day, then I did.’“

The father-son duo has always bonded over when there’s any involvement of The Chain Gang Soldier. As per Owens, till now his son has just seen him fight against Cena.

But now his father will pair up with his favorite wrestler, must be an extraordinary moment for his son to witness. One could imagine how Cena’s decision to join hands with K.O. for a tag team match has positively affected him and his personal life.
