‘CM Punk returns’, the three words that wrestling fans are eagerly waiting to hear. Fans last witnessed their favorite star inside the ring in September 2022 and since then he is away from the squared circle.

But according to recent rumors, Punk might make his return to the AEW soon. The company is milking every single moment around this rumor by hyping up its events. And President Tony Khan tried to do the same in a Media Scrum until the former AEW champion CM Punk blew all his efforts.

Tony Khan tries his best to maintain the mystery around CM Punk’s return

A few hours ago, AEW President Tony Khan addressed the media questions in AEW Double or Nothing Media Scrum. During that, a reporter asked Khan whether the fan-favorite professional wrestler CM Punk would be there in AEW Collision or not. And instead of directly answering the question, Tony Khan bent the question and changed its direction entirely.

Khan said that even though the question is excellent but he won’t be able to answer it currently. And after that, he started to point out some basic details of the launch of Saturday Night Collison, along with his expectations from the show.

Bending the question about CM Punk, Tony Khan said, “I can’t tell you that. I think it’s a great question and I am not prepared to address that question at this time..…… As we are closer to the launch of Saturday Night Collision on june 17th  on TNT …… We are off to a great start with the initial sale and I think it’s only gonna get stronger. And, it could be one of the biggest TV shows in the entire year in terms of revenue…I expect…. It could also be one of the most important TV shows of the year for AEW.”

Here, the AEW President did an amazing job of maintaining the mystery around Punk’s return. However, CM Punk seemingly ruined his efforts as an hour before the media scrum went public, he planted the seeds of his potential return at AEW Collision.

Recently, the AEW star and the former WWE World Champion CM Punk shared the poster of Saturday Night Collison from his official Instagram account. This made fans wonder if the wrestler is hinting at his potential return at the event.

Moreover, Punk’s close friend and the AEW star Dax Harwood have also revealed that ‘The Best in the World’ is missing the ring and want to return soon. This worked as fuel in the fire of Punk’s return rumors. And the wrestling fans wouldn’t be that shocked if CM Punk makes his way towards the ring during the AEW Collision.
