So yeah, he came down to the mid-Atlantic area and did some work down there.”

He stated, “But the thing, the guy like that was my first favorite masked wrestler ended up being the father of the guy, I had my biggest match with while I was wearing a mask. It’s just a weird story to me.” Back during the Ruthless Aggression Era, The Rock and Hurricane had one of the most entertaining feuds of all time, and one of the biggest in Helm’s career.

The 49-year-old further continued, ” I am so excited, I have solved this mystery. I am like five or six years old, so I go in and tell my dad, and my dad was a big wrestling fan. He’s the one that got me into wrestling. And I go, ‘Hey dad look! Sweet Ebony Johnson he is Rocky Johnson!’ And my dad goes, ‘Yeah! I know.’ Damn it!”
While the young Helms thought he had solved a huge mystery, it was rather never a mystery. However, years later, a masked Hurricane would be involved in a huge match-up with Sweet Ebony Diamond’s son, The Rock and come out on top.
