Roman Reigns defended his title against Drew McIntyre at WWE Clash at the Castle. His win against McIntyre took Reigns’ title reign running to 700+ days. Reigns won the title in 2020, after defeating The Fiend, and Braun Strowman. The 37-year-old is one of the toughest men in the business right now.

However, back in 2018, Roman Reigns revealed that his leukemia was back, and he was taking a leave from WWE for his treatment. However, after around a gap of four to five months, Reigns was back in the ring. He got welcomed through a thunderous applause and announced that he was in remission.

During his latest visit on ‘IMPAULSIVE’, Roman Reigns spoke with Logan Paul, and talked about the different chapters of his life. At one juncture, they began discussing when Reigns first came to know about his blood cancer and his initial reactions.

After a brief conversation, it was found that Reigns was let go by his team, Minnesota Vikings, owing to medical reasons, and simultaneously, his wife was pregnant with his first child. However, when Paul said that it made him a man, Reigns quickly responded, “It’s funny how that works.”

Reigns further stated, “We are still learning, We’re still progressing, we are still getting better. I am still figuring things out about myself.” The Big dog stated that his finding out about suffering from cancer and, his wife being pregnant at the same time, was a “mind trip” for him.

He continued, “My wife was my girlfriend at that time, my wife now. Super understanding, solid like a rock. She controlled the things, she could control. She gave me the time and patience I needed. My mom although very like most mom emotional and worries her a** off. She was another one that was solid for me. My family that’s I think you know, through my struggles and some of the charitable work I do and even just through my story.”

The Tribal Chief then opened up about his family. He said, “I just always talk about how you know the family, when they surround you and when people see that and then also when others see the struggle that you go through. We bond through a struggle so much more than through success and achievements you know what I mean. And I was very fortunate to have that security blanket and have that support.”

Reigns claimed that having his family around during such tough times helped him in fighting the battle to come out on top.

What are the future plans for Roman Reigns?

Roman Reigns is currently the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. He recently defeated Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle and is fresh from the battle. He is also rumored to face The Rock or Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39.

As per WrestleVotes, WWE is currently in a dilemma. While the company wants two separate champions at the upcoming WrestleMania, they also do not Roman Reigns to lose. And as per the rumors, WWE is creatively very open right now. While PW Insider has also claimed, that Kevin Owens has turned face, fans might now wonder, if Owens and Reigns would reignite their old feud.
