WWE Hell in a Cell 2021 witnessed the return of Superstar Cesaro. He had appeared during the SmackDown episode prior to Hell in a Cell and challenged Seth Rollins.
At Hell in a Cell 2021, The Swiss Cyborg tried his level best to put Rollins down. He defeated Rollins at WrestleMania 37, therefore, defeating him against wouldn’t have been a big deal. Unfortunately, it was.
Seth Rollins was determined to show Cesaro what he’s made of, and he took on the returning Superstar, and secured the victory.

Now, following the defeat, The Swiss Cyborg has issued a message. He was interviewed backstage after the match, and he revealed that he will be back soon.
“I lost, it sucks. But you know what? I’ve been there before. So, give me a couple of days, I’ll be back. See you on SmackDown.”
It’s possible this was a subtle warning for Seth Rollins about what’s coming for this on the upcoming WWE SmackDown episode.

Second PPV defeat for Cesaro
Prior to Hell in a Cell 2021, The Cyborg was in the ring with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania Backlash.
He challenged The Universal Champion, but Reigns dismissed him and called out Daniel Bryan instead. However, after ending his feud with Bryan, Reigns accepted Cesaro’s challenge for Backlash.
A significant portion of the WWE Universe did not expect him to win, which is what happened. However, he put up a great fight against The Tribal Chief. In fact, he didn’t actually tap out or lose via pinfall. The referee called for the bell after Reigns had Cesaro locked in the Guillotine Choke.
After that, Rollins appeared in the arena and brutally attacked The Swiss Man. This indicated the feud between Rollins and him would continue. It confused the Universe when he did not appear on any of the SmackDown episodes following Backlash.
Now, on the path to Hell in a Cell, Kayla Braxton mentioned to Rollins that Cesaro might return soon. This triggered him, and he dismissed the interview midway.
