In a recent episode of “Out of Character“, Rey Mysterio and host Ryan Satin talked about Rey’s Mask, WCW days, and more.
Mysterio talked about Angel Garza and stated that he’s been a big fan of Garza for a long time. Rey likes this new rise of Latino wrestlers, similar to what the LWO (Latino World Order) was back in WCW, with all these new faces.
Ryan asked him if he would like to see a new LWO in WWE, with the prospect that it would be too much like a ripoff of an old thing. Rey scoffed at the idea of it being a rip-off and said,
“I don’t think so. Because you know, if you think about it, things that were cool back then are becoming cool now once again. I truly believe that the LWO would be a huge success nowadays. I don’t know, it might happen.”
There’s so much talent in WWE at the moment, Rey could easily make the LWO faction again.
If you are wondering what the LWO is, it was a professional wrestling stable in WCW in 1998 and 1999. The late great Eddie Guerrero led the faction.
The New World Order inspired the name, and LWO was a mockery of it.

From LWO, the conversation led to its leader, Eddie Guerrero, and his relationship with Rey. ‘The Master of 619’ stated that Eddie would have been very proud of how far Dominik has come in WWE.
Mysterio always feels the presence of Eddie in the ring with him. He remembers being energetic at Backlash and feeling an incredible vibe. In Rey’s mind, without a doubt, Eddie has been by his side.
