After Survivor Series, it is very unlikely that Randy Orton would challenge for the WWE Title again. He has been beaten by McIntyre thrice already, and will mostly move on to another opponent. Drew will be in need of a new opponent.
Enter Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior is the newest addition to Raw, and one of Drew McIntyre’s closest friends. The two are one of the few non-American wrestlers to hold the company’s top prize.
They met in 2005 on the Irish independent scene. Both were incredibly passionate about wrestling and would critique each other’s matches. “When everybody else went out clubbing, we’d stay in and critique our matches. All the years ago, we talked about bringing this aggressive style to WWE and tearing the house down”, said Sheamus in an interview with Sports Illustrated.
In McIntyre and Sheamus, WWE have two of the most hard hitting wrestlers in the world. They are to WWE, what Tomohiro Ishii and Hirooki Goto are to NJPW. Very few wrestlers in the business look as daunting and intimidating as Sheamus and McIntyre.
Sheamus’ friendship with McIntyre smells of some ulterior motive
In recent weeks, Sheamus has been getting increasingly closer to the WWE Champion. It almost seems like Sheamus is a genuine well wisher for the Scot, however, we know that’s not how Sheamus’ mind functions.
The Celtic Warrior is one of the most ruthless members of the WWE roster. He is the most decorated Irish-born wrestler in the world, winning World Titles, the Royal Rumble match and the Money in the Bank Briefcase.
Drew McIntyre is not far behind Sheamus either. The Scottish Psychopath is a former Intercontinental Champion, a Royal Rumble winner, former Tag Team Champion and currently the WWE Champion. His resume is as impressive as the Celtic Warrior’s.
Sheamus has been running into McIntyre and offering his advice and good luck in his matches. This week, prior to his title win, Sheamus presented McIntyre with a sword. It almost made fans believe that Sheamus would cost Orton the title and help Drew win.

Drew McIntyre has set a chair at the Tribal Chief’s table, and will look to beat him in the Champion vs Champion main event of Survivor Series.
