In pro-wrestling, there’s always a battle. It’s either two pro-wrestlers throwing jabs at each other or two billionaires whose net worth is in strict competition. Such is the story of wrestling’s very own Vince McMahon and Ted Turner.

Both these men have made significant affects in the wrestling industry. While Turner founded World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1973, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has been around since 1953, but has gone through several name changes.

In 1953, WWE was originally called Capitol Wrestling Corporation. However, there is an ongoing debate about who founded it between Jess McMahon and Vincent J. McMahon. The name changed to World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) in 1963, World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1979, and finally World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2002. The company became strictly abbreviated to WWE in 2011.

According to sources, Vince McMahon has a net worth of approximately $2.2 Billion. On the other hand, Ted Turner has a net worth of approximately $2.3 Billion.
