Seth Rollins made his much awaited return on WWE SmackDown: February 12, 2021. The last time he was making regular appearances was prior to Survivor Series 2020. He was a part of Team SmackDown and surrendered himself to Team Raw.
He briefly returned for the 2021 Royal Rumble Men’s match.

Now, Rollins is back on SmackDown and has already tried to establish himself as the leader of the pack. Unfortunately, he received a lackluster response from the other Superstars on the roster.
Interestingly, Rollins entered the ring using his old entrance music. This possibly means that the Messiah character is over, and he will soon unleash another side of his personality for the WWE Universe.

However, his change of character won’t stray too far from his current character. He has always shown himself as someone who wants to lead everybody else towards the greater good. In fact, as mentioned above, he has already tried to establish himself as the leader.
Seth Rollins keeps his characters within the same theme
When Seth Rollins moved from WWE Raw to WWE SmackDown after the 2020 Draft, he referred to himself as the “saviour” for SmackDown. During his time on WWE Raw, he was portraying the role of the ‘Monday Night Messiah’.
In the storyline with The Mysterios and Buddy Murphy, he literally tried to play God and determine the future for Aaliyah Mysterio and Buddy Murphy.
Hence, it’s possible he will stick to a similar theme but with certain tweaks to his character.
Why did Rollins take a break from WWE?
Seth Rollins took a break from wrestling prior to the birth of his baby with Becky Lynch. The couple announced Roux’s birth on December 8, 2020.
