With the return of CM Punk, WWE gained a lot of options in terms of making matches. Moreover, they also have Randy Orton now, and their return won’t let WWE scratch their heads in terms of making matches. Well, nothing is fixed about Orton, but the fans and pundits have somehow started speculating about a beef between Seth Rollins and Punk.

Of course, the reason might be their past animosities, but it will be interesting to analyze if both show legit friction inside the squared circle. So is their beef real or just part of kayfabe? Let’s find out.

The heat between the two superstars was real

Their heat was indeed real, and nobody can deny that. On top of that, Rollins has shown time and again that their friction is real. The world heavyweight champ once called Punk a cancer. In fact, Rollins hit out at the Chicago-based native during his surprising return to the Survivor Series. Also, he was seen yelling on the ‘Voice of the Voiceless’ in the eventual moments of the events. It did look extreme; however, some say that it was planned.

According to Dave Meltzer, the confrontation between the two wrestlers after the Survivor Series: WarGames was scripted and marked the beginning of a new storyline, Most fans believed that this feud could be a combination of work shoots. So the fact that they are working together means it’s a mix of both and could be visible in the coming days.

CM Punk claimed that he will come for Seth Rollins

A few weeks ago, the Second City Saint signed with Monday Night RAW and announced that he would be part of the Royal Rumble match. While he was addressing the universe with the red brand, Rollins suddenly interrupted the former AEW world champion and came to the ring.

In the segment, Rollins asked CM Punk not to call WWE his home since he came back after suddenly walking out of the company. Then ‘The Visionary’ bluntly claimed that he hates Punk, which certainly hinted at an upcoming blockbuster match. Punk replied to Rollins and assured him that if he wins the Rumble, he will target Rollins’ championship at WrestleMania.
