Before returning to WWE in November, CM Punk shared many hints with the WWE Universe about his comeback. He gave the fans many cryptic and subtle indications of his plans to return to his old home. That being said, Sasha Banks (aka Mercedes Mone) appears to be doing the same lately.
Banks has been out of action after sustaining an ankle injury at NJPW Resurgence in May. She is rumored to return soon. With her in-ring comeback inching closer day by day, she has been dropping subtle hints all over social media. So does this mean she will also make a comeback to WWE as CM Punk did?
1. What does Sasha Banks’ cryptic Christmas tweet mean?

Many fans have pointed out that Banks is teasing her return to WWE on social media by sharing obscure messages on her social media handles. Just recently, she shared a post on X wishing a Merry Christmas to the fans. She wrote, “Happy Happy Holidays All I want for Christmas is Moné”.
It’s interesting to notice that the first letters of the first three words start with H, spelling out HHH. Therefore, the WWE Universe pointed out that she smartly addressed the tweet to the WWE Head Creative Triple H, hinting at her WWE return.
2. Banks reminisced about her old days at NXT
A couple of weeks ago, Banks also shared a post reminiscing her old days. Well, it her her NXT debut to be precise. She went to her official Instagram handle to share a story of her NXT debut, when she was not recognized as ‘The Boss’ yet.

Sharing such a story at such crucial times, especially when there is no certainty where she will land, certainly raises tons of eyebrows.

3. Still no news on singing with AEW
Besides WWE, Banks is rumored to join AEW as well. She even attended the AEW All In event in London. This fueled the rumors that she could join hands with Tony Khan. However, it has been months since the news broke out on the internet.
So far there has been no signs of progress in her said deal with AEW, which makes the fans ponder whether she will join the promotion. Even Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that the once-working plans for AEW and Mercedes Mone are no longer working plans.
