Although Rhea Ripley is a well-known figure in WWE television, her appearance was not always menacing. These days, the current Women’s World Champion of Judgment Day is easy to spot when she wears all black and does her hair and makeup the same colour. 

But it took her a while to develop the dark style that is now her signature look. She had worn a lot of different looks on TV before that. WWE has been remembering some great looks from the past with Survivor Series, and Rhea is the show’s star.

There is no way that someone who saw Ripley in the first Mae Young Classic could predict how different she would look   now. She had longer hair and wore standard ring gear back then. 

When she fought Toni Storm in NXT UK, some fans noticed that the two women looked alike because they had blonde hair. Because of Toni Storm, Ripley cut her hair. When people said that she looked like Storm, she made that her signature look. In NXT UK, they were sworn enemies.

Ripley cut her hair very short and started wearing different clothes to break away from these similarities and show that she was different. As Ripley became more like the heel character, she added a bit of allure to her personality and called herself “Mami”. This was an affectionate nickname given to her by Dominik Mysterio as a nod to Eddie Guerrero’s nickname, ‘Papi’.  The new look and nickname of Ripley gave her a new attitude and confidence that she has kept up to this day.

It’s incredible how much Ripley has changed since she joined WWE. Rhea Ripley looks very different from when she started working for WWE. She has played around with her hair and skin tone. When Rhea Ripley first started, her hair was pretty long. Now that it’s shorter, she’s changed things to fit her identity.

At the start of her career at the Stamford-based company, the 27-year-old had long, white hair. And then, the member of The Judgment Day cut her hair and changed its colour. The Women’s World Champion has recently let her hair grow back.

While she was on NXT, Rhea had brown hair. Now she has semi-blonde hair. Ripley, on the other hand, usually is blonde, not brown. The 27-year-old star says Beth Phoenix inspired her. Rhea broke the idea that female WWE stars should be thin and small because of her. By showing her strength, she changed how people in the WWE Universe thought about beauty.
