WWE has long ago dropped the societal stigma over the LGBTQ community through its persistent inclusive moves. Piper Niven has scored an impressive win over Bayley and Naomi, with Chelsea Green by her side. While the result might seem to be upsetting to some who expected WWE to build up Niven as the solo assaulter of The Role Model, leading up to a dramatic single, for the upcoming Clash of The Castle, the real spotlight is still on her recently revealed unpopular sexual orientation.

When it comes to Niven, it seems to be a bit more exceptional as the 33 is simultaneously living a conjugal life with her husband Doudrop despite being vocal about her bisexuality in the past. To have a clearer understanding, let’s dig deeper into the escapades. With the changed thoughts and dynamics inside the WWE realm, more wrestlers both males and females feel at home open about their LGBTQ identity these days.

Niven has been a trailblazer in the trend. Back in 2019, the Megaton Barbie specified his sexual preferences via a tweet. She issued a bold message that read, ”Happy Bi Visibility Day! Guess who’s ready to tell the world”, making it no mystery what community she belongs to.

However, the real wonder lies in the fact that the prized female wrestler tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend on September 11, of the same year. Eva Marie’s former ally flooded the social media walls with a couple of mesmerizing wedding photos to flaunt her happily ever after.

Moving ahead, Niven recently dropped her humiliating nickname behind and went back to her original identity.

Piper Niven moved on from her ‘Doudrop’ moniker

Piper Niven has not been called by the infamous ‘Doudrop’ anymore since her return during the Royal Rumble, in 2023. It was seemingly a dignified step for the 33-year-old, given the offensive meaning behind the moniker.

As per the Urban Dictionary, the word Doudrop usually indicates a woman who takes an interest in other women. In other interpretations, it also denotes a woman with a bigger size. While both the information might be true in Niven’s reality, ethically it can’t be a significator of her career as a prized pro-wrestler.

The SmackDown superstar previously noted it was just another instance of WWE’s long-grown Vince McMahon effect. Although the notorious boss has left the arena, handing it all to Triple H, his disastrous norms were still in operation for some time. Niven’s old name was no exception. However, after dealing with it for a while, she reportedly was given the go-ahead for the name change ahead of Royal Rumble 2023. And it culminated in her re-debut as Piper Niven.
