Out of the various newly drafted talents by WWE recently, Logan Paul is one of the most prominently shining ones. The YouTuber-turned-professional wrestler has continuously shown his merit both inside and outside the ring. His readiness to take on any challenges and use any means to win has now landed him the WWE US Championship.

This marks the first championship for Logan Paul since his debut in 2021. While Paul conquered Rey Mysterio using illegal means, his track record carries the true answer to his actual wrestling credibility. Has Logan Paul successfully made his transition from the realm of boxing to professional wrestling?

The newly crowned WWE United States Champion made his official WWE debut back in 2021. However, it wasn’t until WrestleMania 38 in April 2022 that Paul had a real match in the ring. Paul won his first match against Rey and Dominik Mysterio alongside The Miz. The Miz later became his singles opponent in his next match.

Rising up to the challenge against the A-list WWE wrestler, Paul scored a win in his first singles action as well. Logan Paul later closed his year with the biggest match of his career, when he faced the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns at the 2022 WWE Crown Jewel. Unfortunately, Paul couldn’t finish his year on a high note and lost the match.

With that, Paul recorded two wins and one loss in 2022. Comparatively in 2023, he was beaten in his first match of the year by Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. This was followed by a victory against Ricochet at SummerSlam. This brings us to his latest win against Rey Mysterio once again, where he beat the luchador in a singles match to win the US title. With this, Paul has collected two wins and a loss in 2023 as well in singles competitions.

Apart from this he also participated in the Men’s Royal Rumble match earlier this year which was won by Cody Rhodes. He also fell short in the Money in The Bank Ladder match in London, UK, won by Damian Priest. Hence, his record at WWE overall stands at four wins and four losses. When it comes to singles and tag team matches, his tally reads better with four wins and two defeats.

This may lead one to think that there isn’t any difference between his record in 2022 and 2023. However, this conclusion is far from the truth. In fact, Logan Paul has made a dramatic shift in 2023 compared to 2022.

Logan Paul had defeated Rey Mysterio in 2022 as well. He lost to a WWE title holder in 2022 as well. So, what is the difference? The difference lies in the fact that Paul took out Mysterio in a singles match this time. Moreover, this is the first time he didn’t fail to win against a WWE title holder. As an improvement from last year, Paul also secured major victories in singles matches in two PLEs.

His win against Rey Mysterio also brought him a championship belt in front of the Saudi Arabia crowd, where he lost his previous match. Thus, although his number of wins and losses may look the same, he has come a long way in his career as a pro wrestler.
