Hogan had a story to tell while sitting down for a Muscle and Health Magazine interview. With Hogan’s legacy in the company, it is understandable that he would have some exciting tales. But while narrating how he got Simon Cowell to work in the US, his tale took a dark path. The clip was originally posted by the user David Bixenspan.

Hogan’s narration began at Wembley Stadium, somewhere in the 80s and 90s. He claimed some Make-A-Wish kids were present along with Michael Jackson and Mr. T. There were also EMTs at the spot, as one kid was not doing well. Hogan mentioned the kid had a smell he didn’t quite recognize, which was just the tip of the iceberg.

Going into details, he mentioned that while he took part in the final main event match for the night, he could not see the kid or the family anywhere. Once the match concluded, he found out that the kid passed away. That night, Hogan and his manager, Jimmy Hart, wrote 12 songs for the kid. According to Hogan, the two were part of bands before the WWE. Thanks to Hart’s contacts at Select Records, they got Simon Cowell to produce the album.

Furthermore, the album went to number one on Billboard for eight weeks. According to Hogan, all the money from the album got donated to the kid’s family. After returning to the US, he and Hart decided to make music in the States. This is where they enlisted the help of Simon in producing the first and second wrestling albums.

Nevertheless, the WWE faithful found some discrepancies in his story which attracted some criticism.

The WWE Universe catches Hogan in a lie and chastize him

Naturally, most hardcore fans quickly pointed out the oddity in Hogan’s story. The most important thing is that Hogan didn’t wrestle at Wembley Stadium. During SummerSlam 92, which did take place at the venue, Hogan was not on the cards. Even more striking is that Hogan was not even part of the company at the time. The second is that Cowell got involved with the WWE only during the WrestleMania 1993 album.

Fans were quick to call Hogan out. One fan took a dig at the WWE legend’s penchant for lying.

Many cannot stand his constant need for validation

Hogan mentioned Gary Glitter, and this user did not take kindly to the shout out.

Another fan who had a keen eye for detail called out the wrestling icon for his wild imagination.

Another fan called out his insecurities and constant need to be the center of attention

Some did try to defend his words by claiming he said it poorly.

Another watchful user highlighted his need to boast to others.

One fan mentioned how Hogan never wrestled at the aforementioned stadium where the supposed incident took place.
