WWE’s Queen Charlotte Flair suffered a nasty injury while performing a move on the latest episode of SmackDown. A recent update on her injury suggests that things aren’t looking good for the 37-year-old. Charlotte Flair was dueling against her opponent Asuka when a maneuver she performed resulted in an injury.

A new report threw light on the current status of Flair after her match was quickly wrapped up. While the WWE star has returned home, she will need more time before she returns to the squared circle.

Update on Charlotte Flair’s knee injury as it temporarily halts WWE reign

Charlotte Flair recently faced a setback due to a knee injury sustained during a WWE SmackDown episode on December 8, 2023. Despite the injury, she valiantly completed the match but suffered an abrupt loss to Asuka.

Post-match, Charlotte, heard shouting “My knee!” as she was assisted backstage, prompted WWE officials to swiftly check on her. Consequently, she was withdrawn from all WWE Live Holiday Tour events over the weekend. Recent reports from PWInsider reveal that Charlotte Flair has returned home to Florida. 

It said, “Charlotte Flair has returned home to Florida. WWE sources have indicated that she is not expected back in the ring until she is completely evaluated medically. She has been pulled off the road until the company gets confirmation on the nature of the injury.” She has been temporarily removed from the road until WWE can ascertain the nature of her injury.

Video footage of the incident has surfaced, revealing the potential cause of her injury. Charlotte was also absent from last week’s WWE live events. Now the question among the fans is will she be able to make a comeback in Royal Rumble 2024?

Royal Rumble 2024 will kick off WWE’s PLE schedule for the new year. It will be held on 27th January, 2024. The recent injury to Flair Charlotte Flair, a key player in WWE’s plans for the upcoming  Women’s Royal Rumble, put her participation in doubt.
