It is often said that experience is the best teacher. And one gains experience from work. It doesn’t matter how big of a star someone is, everyone has had to start as a rookie. The case is also the same for Dwayne Johnson, one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. While The Rock was already a big superstar in pro wrestling by the start of the new millennium, he was just getting started in Hollywood.

It is fair to say that like everyone else, Johnson too had his jitters and made a rookie mistake that left one of his co-stars in pain.

The 51-year-old wrestler-turned-actor made his Hollywood debut with the 2001-released film The Mummy Returns. The following year, he reprised his role as The Scorpion King in the lead of the eponymous film. Still new, Johnson reportedly hit his co-star, Michael Clarke Duncan, during a fight scene.

According to IMDb, the deceased Hollywood actor leaned in too far for a hit, when Johnson’s elbow connected with his chin. In the WWE, The Rock has a move named The People’s Elbow, which he uses to hit his opponents in kayfabe. However, Duncan was left reeling after the blow, as it wasn’t intentional, and he was hit with force.

The legendary actor passed away in 2012, but not before acting in some of the finest Hollywood movies. His role in the 1999 fantasy drama, The Green Mile, earned him an Oscar nod. Apart from that, Duncan also played the iconic Kingpin in the 2003-released Daredevil. He essayed the role of Balthazar in The Scorpion King.

By now, many people around the world have watched Fast X, the tenth film in the Fast and Furious series. The $6 billion Hollywood franchise boasts of a star-studded cast, including Dwayne Johnson. However, he made a surprising comeback in the latest film, though in a post-credit scene. A few days ago, The Brahma Bull officially announced his comeback to the fold and is set to be the centerpiece in the next movie. He also announced the association of his production company, Seven Bucks Productions, with the next Fast movie.
