The theme belongs to none other than WWE’s AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One was one of Impact’s biggest names when it was called Total Nonstop Action (TNA). Styles is a former TNA Heavyweight Champion and an X-Division Champion. He had several classics at TNA alongside Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, and Kurt Angle.

AJ Styles’ music hit, but instead of the Phenomenal One, fans got to see the ‘Weenomenal One’. Hornswoggle walked out dressed in a mini AJ Styles attire. He mocked AJ Styles’ taunts and walked into the ring to face the relieved Ethan Page.

Hornswoggle was WWE’s primary comedy attraction, before leaving the company in 2015. He previously featured in the Inner Circle slays Las Vegas segment for AEW Dynamite. The superstar has made sporadic appearances for Impact since 2017.

AJ Swoggle beat Ethan Page!

Hornswoggle’s appearance was a weird one, but it yielded a very shocking result. Ethan Page’s shock was replaced by relief when he saw Hornswoggle walk out instead of the actual AJ Styles. But the former anonymous Raw General Manager managed to pull off a shocking upset.

Page’s tag team partner Josh Alexander got involved in the match. He tried swinging the match in Page’s direction, but it only served to distract him further. The overconfident Page was then rolled up for the shock win.

Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson made their debuts on Impact Wrestling in July, after WWE released them. They immediately inserted themselves into the tag title picture and feuded with Impact Wrestling’s most consistent team.

‘The North’ holds the record for the longest title reign in Impact history. The Good Brothers’ move to Impact threatened their stronghold over the tag team division. Subsequently, they lost the titles to them in an excellent match at the Turning Point PPV.
