Looking at Brock Lesnar, it would appear great that everything went well in his career, for someone who is new to pro wrestling. In reality, it’s different. The Beast once went through severe career struggles, even though he could have been at the height of his professional life.
For those who don’t know, Lesnar has always had a love for football. And for that, he left WWE when his career was taking off. He was, however, forced to give up his boyhood aspiration due to injuries. Vince McMahon was still enraged when he returned to WWE since he had left the organization while he was at the top and offered a seasoned wrestler like Lesnar, a mere rookie contract.

Moreover, this sent him back to his old alcohol and Vicodin addiction. And he became dependent on that once more while he was going through a difficult period.
Brock Lesnar opens up about becoming an addict
It makes sense to be in distress when a business like WWE tries to sue you. It will drain you both psychologically and physically. Lesnar wasn’t an exception either. When he became exhausted, he began to depend on his old habit of consuming Vodka and Vicodin, again.
Lesnar wrote, “I can come up with a lot of reasons why I got back on that drugs-and-booze train again. But they’re all excuses. My back was killing me at the time, and I was in constant pain. I went into the hospital for an MRI and found out I had ruptured two vertebrae. Which meant I was flying across the world to wrestle with a broken back. The doctors were telling me my situation was serious enough that they were strongly recommending surgery.”

How did The Beast get rid of his addiction?
Across the WWE universe, many WWE stars have been involved in circumstances of this nature before. Lesnar was therefore not the first to become addicted to drugs. It’s obviously like entering a swamp, yet, fortunately, Lesnar was able to give up his addiction.

He detailed in his book about how he got rid of his addiction, “I’m so blessed that I’m alive to tell this story. Because there are a lot of people who went through the same thing as me who aren’t around today. Thank God I woke up one morning and decided that enough was enough. I knew if I kept on living this way. I would one day just stop living. Eventually, the odds catch up to you. There’s no escaping the inevitability that something will go wrong,” wrote the former WWE champion.
He claimed he didn’t quit because he underwent a course at a rehab center sponsored by WWE and did therapy, counseling, and other help. Lesnar didn’t let the odds catch up to him because he recognized he wouldn’t be able to be there for his daughter Mya when she grows up if he continued on the wrong route. However, his decision led him back to his normal mode, and he continued with his saga in pro wrestling.
