‘I’m Sick of Living..’: John Cena’s ‘Museum’ Like Rules Made Nikki Bella Feel Uncomfortable in 2013

John Cena had a very public relationship with fellow WWE star Nikki Bella. The couple first began dating in 2012 and got engaged a few years later. WWE also featured the pair on TV and had them be part of a storyline.

A year after they began seeing each other, John Cena joined the cast of WWE’s reality TV Show Total Divas, along with Bella. The show featured the couple’s relationship and showcased the personal interactions between the two.

The Total Divas gave fans an insight into the Cena-Bella relationship dynamic. The episodes displayed the ups and downs they had while giving the fans a whole new insight into the personal lives of their beloved WWE stars. During one such episode, the couple had some friction after Cena’s behavior irked Nikki Bella.

Nikki Bella said John Cena made it ‘uncomfortable’ to live together

John Cena and Nikki Bella were one of the most popular power couples in WWE. In fact, they gave their fans a moment to savour when Cena proposed to Nikki Bella at WrestleMania 33 in the middle of the ring. They had just defeated The Miz and Maryse and the Cenation Leader made the grand gesture after the match.

However, their relationship was on TV way before that.

In 2013, John Cena joined the Total Divas cast, which saw him living his life with Nikki Bella with cameras around them. As the couple were living together in Cena’s house, there were quite a few interesting moments and revelations.

In one episode, Nikki Bella prepared dinner for Cena at his house, but the 16-time World Champion was less than pleased. It turned out that Cena was a neat freak and didn’t like his partner using the kitchen.

After the couple finished dinner in a sombre tone, they got into a mild argument after Cena asked her to not spill water on the floor while she was doing the dishes. Nikki Bella mentioned that she was annoyed at having to live by so many rules.

The former Divas Champion said, “Oh my god John. Honestly, I can’t do this anymore. It’s like it’s very uncomfortable to live here and you make it uncomfortable. Could be a lot of fun. It’s like I am living in a museum. I’m getting annoyed because I am so sick of living by these rules. Just let us be happy.”

Moreover, Bella mentioned to the cameras that Cena’s reaction to her cooking dinner at home hurt her feelings and he was more worried about her ruining the marble and didn’t even get a thanks.

John Cena’s behavior during this episode may have come as a surprise to many fans. Nikki Bella’s nice gesture didn’t make Cena happy as she hoped. Instead, he was concerned about his kitchen being unscratched.

Despite this disagreement, the duo stayed together for nearly another five years. The WWE star couple eventually broke up in 2018 amid disagreements over starting a family.
