One thing that everyone has accepted from all the Dwayne Johnson movies over the years is that The Rock is going to give the audience a great time. Whether it is comedy or action, fans know that it will be a good time at the theater if Johnson is on the screen. This is basically Johnson’s acting success’ secret formula and at this point, he’s the highest-paid actor in the movie industry.

But the same quality in Johnson is the reason many critics despise watching Johnson movies. According to them, Johnson’s acting is non-existent as he only plays up his real-life persona in movies. After hearing this talk for years, Johnson finally addresses them in an interview.

Dwayne Johnson shades actors who ‘find themselves in scripts’

In an interview, where the ‘They Cloned Tyrone’ actor, Jamie Foxx was the one asking questions to The Rock. When Foxx brought up the box office dominance that Johnson has, The Rock cut him off to tell Foxx about his formula.

Johnson replied, “I love to make movies for the world to enjoy. A lot of our friends, they do a great job. A lot of time they love to discover themselves in scripts. I’m not doing that sh**.” While he didn’t mention who these ‘friends’ were, there are several actors who love to experiment with acting and even turn to the indie scene to showcase their talents.

But fans aren’t even comparing Johnson to Christian Bale or Hugh Jackman. Fans love to put the other wrestler-turned-actors against Johnson, and even then he’s the least favorite when it comes to acting chops.

Fans hate Dwayne Johnson’s acting compared to other wrestler-turned-actors

When some Twitter accounts asked, who’s the best wrestler-turned-actor, the answer was simple for people. Dave Bautista was on the top of many people’s lists for his comedic role in Marvel movies, as well as his dark and brooding roles in other films. Other people had John Cena at the top of their list for Peacemaker and other roles.

But no one had Johnson at the top. Complaining about his blandness and repetitive acting roles, people said it didn’t make them excited. But the box office numbers flip the script completely. Other than that, both Bautista and Cena have shared how Johnson was crucial to their success in Hollywood.
