“I’m Happy She Is No Longer in Pain”: Wrestling World Mourns the Saddening Demise of WWE Legend’s Mother Just Days After New Year

A piece of heart-wrenching news just came from a former WWE superstar, when he shared a surreal photo with the most saddening caption.

The post was to inform all about the mournful demise of his mother, Sandra Runnels. Everyone received the news with utter shock and sorrow. Once everyone received the information, the entire wrestling world paid tribute and mourned Dustin Rhodes’ loss. 

The WWE followers will quite know the roller coaster journey of Goldust. Just a few days back, he updated everybody about his mother’s debilitating health. In the post, he wrote, “My momma doesn’t have long and as much as I try to prepare for, we never can.”

As per the constant updates by Rhodes, it was quite clear that his mother was in great pain due to her serious health issue. However, there is no clarity about the disorder. But the awareness of the wrestler about her mother’s last few days was enough to signal that something was more than worse.

The wrestling world mourned the loss of Goldust

Since the news broke, people wish for a peaceful departure for the powerful woman who gave birth to a legendary wrestler. Not only the admirers of Dustin, but well-known names like Bully Ray and Lex luger also offered their condolences to the Rhodes family.  

Everyone was sad after acknowledging the heartbreaking news of the veteran wrestler. To which they‌ sent out all their love and support for Dustin.

One among them also reflected on the beauty that the AEW star had the chance of being close to her mother during her last breaths. 

Some also added Cody Rhodes while mourning for Dustin Rhodes’ mother, as they are half-brothers. Just to clarify, both Stardust and Goldust are the sons of the great Dusty Rhodes. However, the mothers of these noteworthy wrestlers are different. 

News of Retirement by the former WWE star

A part of the caption by the 53-year-old wrestler also spoke about the happiness he felt, seeing his mother getting released from the long pain.

It indicates the pain that the second-generation wrestler must be feeling throughout the time he saw her mother in agony. Dustin also had to look after his mother all alone as The American Dream, Dusty Rhodes, passed away at the age of 69. 

Apart from this, one more distressing piece of news came from the nine-time hardcore champion when he disclosed his retirement. He announced 2023 to be his final year in wrestling.

In the Busted Open Radio podcast, Rhodes also stated about his AEW contract that is about to expire in July. The American wrestler is himself looking for an end date for his in-ring wrestling career.
