WWE seemed to have pumped the breaks on the whole ‘Who will Edge challenge’ saga for a while. The winner of the 2021 Royal Rumble cut a promo on Raw, announcing he will wait till the Elimination Chamber to choose his WrestleMania opponent.

Edge pauses his WrestleMania decision till Elimination Chamber

Shane McMahon made an unannounced return to Raw, announcing the participants in the Elimination Chamber match. Edge walked to the ring and cut a promo on how he liked his odds against the winner of the Elimination Chamber match. While Roman Reigns and Finn Balor are waiting for his decision, he could choose the winner of the Elimination Chamber match. He doesn’t expect Drew McIntyre to walk out of the Chamber as champion, which is why he will pause his decision.

The Miz, John Morrison and Angel Garza cut him off and confronted him in the ring. Miz reminded Edge that while he might be the Ultimate Opportunist, he holds the MITB contract.

He declared that after WrestleMania, if Edge wins the title, he can expect a cash-in from the ‘A-Lister.’ Edge reminded Miz of how he put the MITB concept on the map, and he does not see the difference between them.
