LA Knight is a force to be reckoned with. Despite being mocked by legends and veterans as a Dwayne Johnson rip-off, the superstar has always given a befitting response to all his haters, with both his performance in the ring and his crowd pull. With all the momentum on his side, he sent out a chilling warning to all the top champions at SmackDown.

In his promo, Knight called out every top title holder, including Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. What is interesting, however, is how he did this by adding a Dwayne Johnson twist.

Knight squared off against The Miz in a rematch from Payback. The result was the same: the leader of the “Yeah!” movement once again beat his rival.

Interestingly, it’s his promo after the match that made the most noise. In his usual style, he dissed several big names with his eyes set on capturing gold. However, it’s his stealing of the famous Johnson line that has intrigued many.

He quoted: “I said I am coming for gold. So I look at the top of the mountain in WWE and I see all the different options and I got to tell you, it doesn’t matter.” While he did call out several superstars including Rey Mysterio, Gunther, and Seth Rollins, it’s his emphasis on Roman Reigns while calling him out that makes fans feel a future feud is brewing since both are on the same brand.

He further quoted: “It damn sure doesn’t matter if it’s Roman Reigns. You got to understand something, it ain’t just a catchphrase. I’m easily top two and I ain’t number two, yeah.”

This was definitely a bold move for the superstar to copy Johnson’s catchphrase, considering how legends have mocked him in the past, including Kevin Nash, for being an imitation of The Rock. But this also proves the superstar isn’t afraid of people dissing him as he always has a strong rebuttal for them. While he shut Nash’s criticism by indirectly calling him a moron last week, it remains to be seen if his next target is in fact Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins.

LA Knight becomes an unstoppable machine

It’s no secret that Knight has been going shoulder-to-shoulder with Reigns in generating huge reactions from the crowd.
