AJ Styles and Omos missed Raw after WrestleMania and haven’t appeared on WWE television since WrestleMania. However, the Phenomenal One has a crazy explanation about why they have been absent.
On an episode of WWE’s the Bump, Styles revealed he and Omos were partying in Nigeria.
“I never thought I’d say this, but I’m almost sick of partying,” said Styles. Kayla Braxton said Omos returned to his hometown in Nigeria to celebrate, only for Styles to chime in and say, “I was with him, it was crazy! He’s like a king over there. I got sunburned and everything!”
Styles joked even further about how Vince McMahon allowed them to celebrate in Nigeria and loaned them his private jet.
“Absolutely, I mean, come on. Even Vince McMahon couldn’t even tell us though we said hey, we need your jet we’re going to Nigeria. You know what he said? Sure, because you’re the Tag Team Champions. The Raw Tag Team Champions, and you have Omos. So yeah, Vince was very happy and pleased.”
When asked about the future of the Raw Tag Team Division, Styles gave a bold answer. “Everybody is on notice based on what we can do together. We’re unstoppable.”
Styles reflects on being a Grand Slam Champion; Omos speaks
The hosts asked Styles whether the desire to become Grand Slam Champion backed his partnership with Omos. However, Styles gave a pretty neutral response to that and put over Omos.
“Listen, I’m not saying that’s the only reason Omos and I are the best tag team in WWE right now. That’s not why I did it, it just kind of happened. It was organic. We’re a good team, we know each other so well; I mean, how can we be defeated at this point? I mean, we’re gonna have to lose the championships when we let someone take them from us. We may retire with them.”
Omos himself opened up on his WrestleMania experience and winning a title in his debut match.

“Man, I’ll never forget that moment for the rest of my life, man. It is forever immortalized in my brain. And the fact that my debut we had the fans back and you feel that energy from the audience was electrifying. I have goosebumps speaking about it right now, I would never forget that moment for the rest of my life.”
