Dwayne Johnson won Jonathan’s heart long ago

Coachman recently sat down in a recent episode of Insight. There, the former WWE interviewer and commentator talked about various topics, including The Brahma Bull.

Jonathan recalled his first meet with the former wrestler by saying, “I’ll never forget the first day I met him. August 24th, 1999, which just happens to be Vince McMahon’s birthday as well.” While Jonathan was standing in the party, the Hollywood superstar walked in and the interviewer thought to himself, “This is the coolest human being I’ve ever seen in my life.”

The two then went on to work closely together for years and Johnson even taught Jonathan things that he is forever grateful for. While Johnson must have received some learnings from Jonathan as well, the latter didn’t wait around to express his gratitude toward him.

When Dwayne Johnson was struggling as a homeless teenager in Nashville, Bruno Lauer, a kind-hearted wrestling manager, was there to offer him accommodation for free in his motel room. Again, years later, when Johnson needed help, Lauer was there. The former wrestler didn’t forget this favor and thanked him by gifting him a brand-new Ford F-150.

Even during his starting days in Hollywood, the wrestler-turned-actor was generous. After accidentally almost choking a stuntman due to a failed stunt scene, Johnson wanted to make up for his fault. So, on the set of The Scorpion King, he gifted backstage employee an expensive Rolex watch to make up for his mistake.
