After threatening a collapse for a few months, The Bloodline literally collapsed on the August 11 episode of SmackDown. Still hurting from the unexpected betrayal in the hands of his brother Jimmy Uso at SummerSlam, Jey Uso used his superkicks to decimate the other members of the stable, barring Paul Heyman. After using the superkick to flatten his twin, Jey told the camera that he was done with The Bloodline, SmackDown and the WWE, as he retreated through the crowd.

Just hours after that incident, Jey Uso has an offer to join one of his family members, also a past WWE star. If things go well, fans could see the two working together.

While Jey Uso’s exit has cast a shadow of doubt and sadness amongst many in the WWE Universe, some corners are happy. A former WWE superstar, who made a big impact in the now-defunct rival promotion ECW, is apparently happy with Jey Uso’s choice.

Speaking on the popular ‘Busted Open’ podcast, Tommy Dreamer floated the offer to the former Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion. Dreamer, who had a stint in the WWE, and now works in Impact Wrestling, another rival promotion to WWE, urged the 37-year-old to consider his proposal.

“Jey, by the way, if you quit for real, give us a call. Give me a call,” The Innovator of Violence said. The hardcore wrestling legend said a switch in promotion has worked well for his sister-in-law, Naomi. The former WWE superstar and Jimmy Uso’s wife is now a prominent member of Impact Wrestling, where she goes by the ring name Trinity.

“It worked out well for your sister-in-law. I’ll hook you up,” Dreamer added. It’ll be a huge coup if Impact can acquire Jey Uso’s services. The presence of a bona fide superstar will augur well for the promotion’s status in the pro wrestling world.

But for that, the younger of the Uso twins needs to be out of the WWE.

Is Jey Uso really out of the WWE?

At this moment, this is a million-dollar question that many people might be asking, hoping for an answer. Nope, we don’t know either. But there’s a clue from WWE to work with.

After Jey faced the camera and made his decision public, the promotion placed him in their alumni section. You can check it out on the company’s official website. And while there were rumors that it could be because of Uso’s contract, well, they are still rumors!

So, there’s still no clear information regarding the status of Jey Uso’s stint in WWE. But the WWE hasn’t advertised him or other members of The Bloodline for their upcoming Payback PLE yet.

Having said that, it is unlikely that Jey Uso would quit the company so early. This could be a planned hiatus, giving the creative a chance to better the storyline, which has come under criticism in recent times.

Uso could be back months later, reviving his rivalry with his twin, Jimmy, who would like to have an explanation of that superkick he took on SmackDown.
