AEW is currently one of the most promising wrestling promotions. The wrestling company has established itself as a direct threat to WWE’s supremacy. So much so, that even AEW President is calling war on WWE. Ever since its inception a few years ago, AEW has been successful in developing several young and promising wrestlers.

Out of all the wrestlers that AEW has produced, MJF stands a class apart. MJF is one of the most well-known AEW wrestlers of all time. His in-ring talent, paired with his charisma and mic skills, makes him easily one of the most over wrestlers in the company.

Recently rumors arose of MJF shifting gears to WWE, after he had disputes with Tony Khan. However, in reality, he never jumped ship from AEW to WWE. Although, the fans are very much expecting him to shift gears once his contract gets over in a few years.

Wrestling veteran Bubba Ray Dudley presented his opinion on MJF switching companies from AEW to WWE. Bubba Ray is one of the most respected and legendary wrestlers of all time, known for his accomplishments in the tag-team division.

What did Bubba Ray Dudley say about MJF switching companies from AEW to WWE?

Back during the day, even Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley had switched companies. And it is a very well phenomenon for wrestlers to switch promotions for their growth. However, when asked by Chris Van Vliet about MJF switching promotions, Bubba Ray Dudley dismissed it.

He said, “Why not? He would never be able to be the version of the MJF that we know and love. They would have to put their twist, their spin as they do everything. Because that’s just the way, WWE is.” Dudley claimed that making the change would mean MJF not being able to stay true to his character. He will have to mold into what WWE prepares for him.

The 51-year-old further said, “So, if Max wants to stay Max for the rest of his life. Don’t go. But if you want to make a gazillion dollars and headline WrestleMania, which I think he has all the potential in the world to do.” Implying that he wanted to stay true to his craft, then AEW would be the best option. However, if he was after money and big events, then WWE is the place to go.

MJF is often found taking shots at WWE during his promos at AEW. However, fans want to see their favourite heel make his arrival in WWE, and rule the stage there.
